Travel insurance
Most travelers are able to claim their consultation back. Here's what we provide and how to use it.
What we send you
After every consultation, we email you two documents in English — at no extra cost:
- An itemized receipt showing the ¥33,000 consultation fee, the clinic's name and address, and the date of service.
- An English medical certificate, if your doctor issues one, describing your diagnosis and treatment.
These serve different purposes: the receipt is proof of payment, and the medical certificate is the clinical statement some insurers require to confirm the visit was medically necessary. Most claims need both, so it's worth checking which your policy asks for before you submit.
How to submit a claim
- 1. Check your policy for its telehealth or overseas medical treatment coverage.
- 2. Log in to your insurer's claims portal, or contact them directly.
- 3. Upload the receipt and medical certificate we emailed you, along with any claim form your insurer requires.
- 4. Keep a copy of your pharmacy receipt too, if medication was prescribed.
What to check with your provider
Coverage depends entirely on your policy — we can't guarantee reimbursement. Most travel insurance covers telehealth consultations for illness or injury during your trip, but policies vary on medication costs, pre-existing conditions, and claim deadlines. If you're unsure, contact your provider before your trip.
