What we treat

Common, non-emergency conditions that travelers see us for most often.

Cold, flu & fever

Sore throat, cough, congestion, body aches, and fever are the most common reasons travelers book with us. Your doctor can assess your symptoms, rule out anything more serious, and prescribe medication if it's needed.

Sore throat & cough

A persistent cough or painful sore throat — whether viral or bacterial — can be evaluated by video. If your doctor suspects a bacterial infection like strep, they can prescribe an appropriate antibiotic.

Stomach & food poisoning

Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are common on unfamiliar food and water. Your doctor can advise on rehydration and prescribe anti-nausea or antidiarrheal medication where appropriate.

UTI

Painful urination and urgency are treatable without an in-person exam in most cases. Your doctor will ask about your symptoms and can prescribe antibiotics directly to a nearby pharmacy.

Skin & allergies

Rashes, hives, and insect bites can usually be assessed visually over video. Bring the affected area into good light during your call so your doctor can see it clearly.

Eye & ear

Pink eye and ear pain are common complaints we treat by video, including prescribing eye drops or ear drops where appropriate.

Pain & minor injury

Back pain, muscle strain, sprains, and headaches can often be managed with guidance and medication. Injuries that may involve a fracture or need imaging will be referred to in-person care.

Jet lag & sleep

Trouble sleeping after a long flight is disruptive to a trip. Your doctor can discuss short-term options to help you adjust.

Prescription refills

If you take regular medication for a condition like high blood pressure or asthma and are running low while traveling, your doctor can review your situation and issue a refill where appropriate. Controlled substances cannot be prescribed online.

What we don't treat

We can't diagnose conditions that require a physical examination, imaging, or lab tests, and we can't prescribe controlled substances. This service is not for emergencies — for chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or loss of consciousness, call 119 immediately.
